April Issue of Darling

April 4, 2011

It’s a hard balance to achieve, but there is nothing worse in my opinion than a wedding celebration that is so sophisticated it borders on stuffy & boring. On the flip side, keeping things approachable can also go off the deep end and turn what should be a special event into something so casual it could easily be any ‘ole Saturday night shindig. Yes, it’s a true balancing act and one we try to achieve in every event we design. And, no place pushes us to reach that balance than Napa, which has perfected the art of understated luxury and sophistication while also being THE place to relax and just enjoy. With the best wines, finest foods and a culture that understands the true art of entertaining, this month, we dedicated Darling to wine country. From a real wedding that took place at Carneros Inn  to a Malibu wedding that was inspired by Napa, we provide design inspiration galore if you’re hoping for a chic winery inspired wedding. But we didn’t stop there. We also tapped catering expert, Brooke Bagliatto, on how to create a wedding menu fit for Napa and our very own, Susie Homemaker teaches us a few tricks that will help you embrace your inner wine snob. All of this and so much more….Cheers!
