If you’re having a more formal day, chairs with a timeless appeal are the way to go, designwise. Here’s a few of our favorite options out there:
The Versailles chair is the perfect chair if you’re considering an Old Hollywood or Art Deco vibe for your day. It’s classic curves have an old world feel while their polish adds the perfect amount of glam. They were the perfect option for Amy & Jason’s wedding at Vibiana. This image is by Samuel Lippke.
Chameleon chairs deserve their own post all together as they come in so many different versions. For those of you wanting something formal without feeling too stuffy, we love their fleur de lis or fan fare option. They fit in any environment and are the one of the most comfortable options out there. We used them for Tara & Kurt’s Big Island Wedding at the Four Seasons Hualalai shown above from Steve Steinhardt.
Dark wood chivaris are a no brainer when it comes to a classic look. They are lovely both with and without chair backs. We used them at the Bacara Resort for Jody and Patrick’s wedding (Captured by Max Wanger). And then for Jaime & Wes’s Bali Wedding at Amanusa by Steve Steinhardt. While not the first choice for the Bali Wedding, our options were pretty limited, so we were able to make them feel a bit more polished and boho at the same time by creating chair backs. And of course, a beautiful floral detail is always a charming moment.
