Every now and then I get to be a part of helping put together a wedding day surprise for the couples I work with. The image above from Amy and Stuart Photography is the result of one of those surprises. I worked with the bride to set up a midnight rendezvous down at the beach in front of their hotel immediately following the wedding. Blankets, candles, leftover wedding cake and champagne were simple yet still the perfect way for the couple to continue the celebration and reflect on their wedding day. With so much going on during the day, it’s really easy to forget to take a moment just for the two of you. Whether it be taking 10 minutes to yourself immediately after the ceremony, surprising your groom with boudoir photos bound in a beautiful album or sneaking each other love notes throughout the day, taking the time to surprise each other reminds you what the day is all about.
