For those of you who aren’t familiar, we have a sister company, called The Good Beginning, which is an online registry where couples can register for donations to charities in lieu of or in addition to a traditional gift registry. We are so so proud of the work and accomplishments that are coming from our little passion project and wanted to update all of you for a brief moment. We had a little feature on Forbes, CNBC, New York Times, Vogue and more. Entrepreneur magazine interviewed little ole me about it’s humble beginnings. I’ve spoken on a variety of panels now offering up my limited expertise in the area of social entrepreneurship and more recently I’ve joined the council of Nationswell which is a community of entrepreneurs and professionals passionate about service who come together to encourage social entrepreneurship, giving back and more. Wow, was I honored when they invited me. BUT, what’s even more exciting is watching the donations come in. By the end of 2017, we are slated to raise of $250,000 in donations for everything from the ACLU to ASPCA to Habitat for Humanity, to small grassroots organizations and local charities that couples are completely enamored with. And we are growing more and more everyday. We are so thrilled to help couples start their marriage off with the ritual of giving and truly hope you’ll hop on over there, check it out and tell a few friends while you’re at it!
