I’m a Mexico girl at heart. I always have been. The people have a warmth about them that I’ve never found anywhere. I’m constantly enamored by their arts, textiles and all around love for beautiful things. And, I find it to be oh, so romantic. Earlier this year, Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Cabo invited me to come experience their property like a guest would…a definite perk of the job…and while I have always loved Mexico, I have never experienced it like this. Honestly, I haven’t been the same since this trip. Las Ventanas is truly inspiring with it’s refined aesthetic, unparalleled service, oh, and the food…They definitely have the art of entertaining down. My husband and I were completely pampered from being greeted by our personal butler and taken to our 2 bedroom villa where an elaborate tequila tasting awaited us (more on that later in the week). From the frozen grapes while we basked in the most glorious infinity pool to the nightly surprises in our room from bubble baths to thousands of rose petals scattered across every corner, each moment was perfection. But, the most meaningful memory Las Ventantas created for us, was when the hotel found out my husband’s birthday was coming up. The “romance” team, set up a private dinner for two under a beach cabana with hundreds of candles hanging everywhere. We ate course after course as we basked in candlelight with sand under our toes. While, I strive to create moments like this for couple’s all of the time, I’m rarely on the receiving end, and it was truly magical. Certainly, a birthday my husband will never forget. I would go back to Las Ventanas in a second for ANY romantic getaway. I can’t imagine a better spot for an intimate destination wedding in Mexico or even just a honeymoon. Whatever the occasion, it’s a must do. Seriously, while the pictures below are beautiful, they can’t capture the spirit of this very special place.
