I sometimes get told that I love everything, but photography is one thing I love the most in this industry and as an art in general. I have so much excitement when I send inquiries to photographers and am often the first one to get to peruse their portfolio. And, while I adore color in all things, there is something extra special about the black and white images.

I completely agree with Steve’s statement. There is an aspect of being timeless that truly makes these images works of art. Emotion has an added emphasis, lines stand out, and the light has an extra softness in the glow. It truly is a gift to get the contrast and brightness just right when editing black and white photography. Below are some of my favorite examples:
