If you’re anything like most people, you’re likely running out of ideas to keep the fun alive at home right about now. We totally get it and I recently gave an interview with Brides magazine about just this sort of thing. You can check it out here. As with all interviews, some ideas just don’t make the cut. With that in mind, here are some of our top go to activities you and your someone could and should try out soon:

ELEVATED DINNER FOR TWO
While a candlelit dinner may seem cliche, now is the time to put in the extra effort for date night. Create a fully thought out dinner table, order takeout from your favorite fancy pants restaurant and present it on beautifully selected table top items rather than out of the container. Show your partner that you’re willing to go the extra mile to create a beautiful experience for them or with them.

COOKING CLASS
There are tons of virtual cooking classes available online right now. Find a chef and menu you’re excited about, gather the ingredients and have fun learning together. I personally love the live classes from Nonna Live…An Italian grandmother teaching all of her pasta secrets, but if you want something a little less interactive Masterclass has great options if you want to dive deep into the culinary arts. And if you’re just looking for a quick, one night lesson, try something less committal like one of the recipes from Athena Calderone’s EyeSwoon Unplugged which can be found right on her Instagram page in the IGTV section.

BACKYARD MOVIE NIGHT
A sheet, projector and your favorite movie is all you need to create a date experience in your home. For added nostalgia, buy a vintage popcorn machine or movie theatre style candy to make it a more authentic experience. We’ve covered this so many times on the blog, I’m just going to redirect you to some of our favorite posts here and here.

PICNIC FOR TWO
Create the ideal day date with a blanket, bottle of wine and a picnic basket filled with your favorite dishes. This can be fun in your own backyard or a quiet park. After lunch plan a simple but fun activity together like jenga, badminton, chess or checkers.

COCKTAIL ROULETTE
Take turns experimenting with cocktail recipes you both enjoy. Get creative with ingredients and discover a new skill while you’re at it. This one is always fun but gets especially creative if you have a fully stocked bar!

PANCAKES IN YOUR PJS
For a morning date, invite your partner to a breakfast feast complete with mimosas, pancakes and your favorite brunch items. Don’t forget all the amazing toppings that allow you to have extra fun with your pancakes.

SOMMELIER CLASS, WINE TASTING OR OTHER SPIRIT TASTING
If you both have interest in wine, find a sommelier class online and enjoy an evening learning together. Or if you want a less structured experience, choose three varietals of red or white wines and enjoy navigating the differences together. Tastings can also be fun with spirits such as tequila, bourbon, scotch or mezcal.

If you have any date night ideas, we’d love to hear them and even share them with our readers!
