On my last day in Bali, I grabbed a leisurely lunch on the way to the airport at this little spot, Balique, I had been eyeballing my entire trip. From the outside, it looked like a little glowing sanctuary with twinkly lights, lots of reclaimed wood and surrounded by ice paddies and beautiful foilage. When I went inside, it didn’t disappoint. If I can be so bold, it looked much like many of the environments we strive to create with our weddings. Intimate, approachable, charming and intentional. Everything from the ceiling tiles and lighting fixtures to the sinks in the restrooms were created by Balinese artisans. The napkins were made from local textiles and the ceramics for the food were perfectly flawed letting us know that we were indeed eating off of  a piece of handmade art.
